Triv Release History
3.9.2	06/01/07
	* Created Know Bull, Multiple Guess 11, and Trillionaire 5 modules (Trillionaire 5 consists of the level 1 questions from the last three Multiple Guess modules)
	* Updated over 100 trivia questions.
	* Added .dmg archive for Macintosh users.

3.9.1 12/20/06
	* Created Short_Stuff short-answer trivia module (50th full module)
	* Updated over 100 trivia questions.
	* Changed Select Module screen so that the current module is at the top or at least is on the first screen.
	* Added help (info tip) to "No Data" alert (when Triv cannot locate any trivia modules).

3.9.0 05/16/06
	* MAJOR trivia update: over 400 questions were updated (broken records, etc.), corrected (not too many of these), or replaced (about 30 duplicate questions). All 25,000+ questions were reviewed and updated for grammatical consistency.
	* Changed algorithm so most, if not all, of the questions in a module will be used before a question is repeated. This was always supposed to be true, but there were definitely cases where it wasn't.
	* Fixed Quick Quiz Final Scores screen if Triv is exited on that screen and returned to (was showing 0's on return).
	* Fixed "Random" option for multiple choices if changed from "Default" in the middle of a question. Previously, the choices would end up all the same.

3.8.5 04/03/06
	* Created two new modules: Multiple Guess 10 (multiple choice) and Queryous (short answer).
	* Added global 15-second Timer option and 50-question Quick Quiz option to match Jeopardy's online test.
	* Updated over 40 questions.

3.8.4 10/25/05
	* Fixed typo on Triv Tac Toe Final Scores screen (players were labeled incorrectly).
	* Updated over 150 questions.

3.8.3 07/11/05
	* Fixed bug where Triv could crash on user-created modules that had exactly 18 questions in them. This bug would NOT happen with any of the bundled modules.
	* More trivia updates: about 100 questions were updated or corrected.

3.8.2 04/08/05
	* Yet another trivia update: over 400 questions were updated, corrected, or replaced.

3.8.1 12/01/04
	* Another trivia update: almost 200 questions were updated, corrected, or replaced.

3.8.0 09/01/04
	* MAJOR trivia update: over 600 questions were updated (broken records, etc.), corrected (mostly name spelling and standardization), or replaced (some duplicate questions and some that just didn't make sense anymore).

3.7.0 05/10/04
	* Added "Random" Multiple Choice answer order option (default is "Default", which is usually alphabetic).
	* 4 new multiple choice modules: Multiple_Guess_8 (genus), Multiple_Guess_9 (genus), Multi_Sport_3 (sports), and Trillionaire_4 (genus; easier questions collected from Multiple_Guess_6 through 8). There are now 55 bundled modules with a total of 25,686 questions.
	* Over 100 trivia updates and corrections.
	* Color fixes: workaround for display problems under PalmOS 3.5 (Palm IIIc's and Handspring Prism's did not display background color properly), Sony Clie's (NX70V and others did not show the 4 multiple choice 'a' to 'd' buttons correctly), and all color devices (changing background color did not always display multiple choice text properly).
	* Fixed timer when decrement set to anything besides 1 (other values did not display properly).
	* NOTE: Version 3.7.0 can be safely installed over older versions of Triv going back to version 2.0.0.

3.6.3 03/05/04
	* Fixed bug on first launch where the wrong marks database could be created.
	* Fixed bug on first launch where the first question could repeat.

3.6.2 12/18/03

	* Changed optional underline of Question to gray on color devices.
	* Added better error message when trying to beam modules stored on external cards (not allowed).
	* Fixed recoloring of buttons on Main form.
	* 2 trivia corrections.

3.6.1 10/14/03
	* Created 3 new multiple choice modules (Multiple_Guess_7, Multi_Sport_2, and US_Presidents_MC) and 2 new alphabetic modules (Intravenous_Genus and Sports_Galore). There are now over 50 bundled modules (51) with over 23 thousand questions (23,670).
	* Over 60 trivia question updates and corrections.
	* Added more text to game help for Quick Quiz, Trivia Pizza, Triv Grid, and Triv Tac Toe.
	* Corrected name of screen in the "Change Score" section of the "Answer" form's tips.
	* Added TrivWriter import error check for answer choices that are too long to fit on one line (now version 1.1.1)
	* Added "Import Error Descriptions" section to TrivWriter documentation.

3.6.0 07/08/03
	* Added background color to main screens (Main, Trillionaire, Trivia Pizza, Triv Grid, and Triv Tac Toe). You can set this color by tapping the "Select Color" button on the "Preferences" form.
	* Added "Practice Mode" option to Triv Grid. This allows you to use the grid to select questions by category and difficulty. The Rounds and Grid Bid options are ignored. This is useful if you are using Triv's questions with a real game board (e.g., Trivial Pursuit), or if you only want to see questions in particular categories.
	* Tapping the category name in Triv Grid is now ignored.
	* Cleaned up some graphics (mainly Trillionaire helpers).
	* When the "Lines" option is set, empty lines are no longer displayed.
	* Added Import capability to TrivWriter (now version 1.1.0). Both Memo Pad records and Doc files are supported. See TrivWriter documentation for more details.
	* Added "Header" and "Categories" buttons to TrivWriter's "Go" screen (from the "Go" button).
	* Fixed problems in TrivWriter when reducing the number of questions in a TrivWriter module (marked question number and other numbers could be too high).
	* Fixed problem with running TrivWriter and TrivFind (now version 1.2.4) on older versions of PalmOS. Triv, TrivFind, and TrivWriter now run on any device running PalmOS 2.0 or higher.

3.5.0 05/13/03
	* Tested with EruWare compact flash driver (for Sony NX60, NX70V, and NZ90). Works nicely!
	* Added more color on almost all screens. Improved color pizza and added double-density version.
	* Added standard Edit menu to Registration screen. Added Help button.
	* Fixed Trillionaire victory animation on PalmOS 5.0 (NX70V at least). It was being skipped because events were occurring in a different order (winExit and winEnter).
	* Fixed text that was peeking out from under the TRILLIONAIRE score on Sony devices (their double-density standard font is a little wider).
	* Changed to comply with PalmGear's new requirements.
	* Several trivia corrections (especially Xmas_Xtra_MC).

3.4.3 04/22/03
	* Created 4 geography mini-modules ("Country Capitals", "Country Capitals MC", "State Capitals", and "State Capitals MC"; the "MC" versions are multiple choice modules and are more complete than the short answer modules).
	* Added larger Triv logo to the About screen (from the Launcher logo) and fixed one stray pixel on it (color double density version).
	* Improved the TrivFind logo (looks more like TrivWriter logo now) and added it to the About screen (TrivFind now version 1.2.3).
	* Fixed incorrect module header initialization in TrivWriter (now version 1.0.2).

3.4.2 04/14/03
	* Created "Choice Couplets" rhyming, multiple choice trivia module (based on "Multiple Guess"). Made this the default module for new installations (previously the default was somewhat random, usually dependent on order of installation).
	* Added "Launch" menu options in Triv, TrivFind, and TrivWriter to switch between these 3 applications without returning to the Launcher. In Triv and TrivFind (now version 1.2.2), there is a new Launch menu; in TrivWriter (now version 1.0.1), the options are at the bottom of the Go menu.
	* Over a dozen trivia question updates and corrections.
	* Changed default Lines options setting to Off.
	* Increased the number of modules available in both Triv and TrivFind from 64 to 256 (not likely to be run into intentionally, but possible if you have duplicate copies of all of Triv's bundled modules in both main memory and on an external card).
	* Fixed buffer overflow problem in TrivFind; this could cause case-sensitive searches to return incorrect results.
	* Created external TrivFind documentation (Palm Doc, HTML, and text formats).

3.4.1 03/19/03
	* Several trivia question corrections that were supposed to be in version 3.4.0.

3.4.0 03/17/03
	* Fixed editing commands on Player Names screen when invoked from menu command bar.
	* Changed "Score Changes" default to ON.
	* Created TrivWriter Palm application (bundled with Triv for free). You can use this app to generate trivia modules (study guides, etc.) on your Palm device or in the PalmOS Emulator (POSE) on a PC or Macintosh. Note: although unregistered copies of Triv are restricted to the first 36 questions of each module, TrivWriter will allow you to create longer modules regardless of whether a registered copy of Triv is found on the device or not.
	* Changed TrivFind's main screen so tapping at the top of the screen now pulls down the menu. Fixed VFS handling (same as modifications in Triv 3.3.2). TrivFind version is 1.2.1.

3.3.2 12/30/02
	* In Trillionaire, the "New Question" helper now resets the timer (previously, the clock kept ticking).
	* Modified Player Names screen so names are entered in the font that is actually used later. Names can still be up to 15 characters but are now also limited to 64 pixels in width.
	* Removed "Your current answer will be used" message from Timer Expired alert with multiple choice or true/false questions.
	* Passed PalmOS 5 Certification testing (official certification pending) after making the following fixes.
	* Fixed bug where ejecting an external card while playing a game with a trivia module on that card could crash (Triv now exits to the Launcher to allow it to handle card insertion/removal). Cleaned up VFS code in general. Also cleaned up bug where a record could be left locked in a database when changing VFS directories.
	* Fixed bug where Triv could crash if there were more than 36 modules loaded (possibly fewer).
	* Fixed display on non-color PalmOS 5.0 devices (even though none of these exist yet).
	* Cleaned up Triv Tac Toe scores form (replaced all fields with direct screen drawing), and removed extra "Final Scores" screen.
	* Fixed bug on Triv Grid Bid screen when the "Show Scores" button was tapped under certain low memory conditions (could hang).
	* Fixed bug on Answer screen that could cause problems under certain low memory conditions.

3.3.0 10/29/02
	* Ported Triv (and TrivFind 1.2.0) to PalmOS 5.0. Added double-density graphics.
	* Fixed 20 trivia questions (many thanks to users who reported errors!).
	* Fixed VFS problem where a file was being left open on start-up and each time the VFS directory was changed using the "Set VFS Directory" screen. Simplified memory and field handling on same screen.

3.2.3 01/28/02
	* Fixed drawing problem on some newer OS's (PalmOS 4.0 and 4.1 and Handspring's patch to OS 3.5.2). The previous screen could sometimes be seen under the current screen in Trillionaire and Triv Tac Toe.
	* Removed ".PDB" suffix from module names on Select Module and Delete Module screens if modules have been renamed with capital ".PDB" instead of ".pdb" (as done by some VFS utilities). This also affects the name of the marks databases (i.e., "Tr<moduleName>.pdb"). Same changes made in TrivFind 1.1.2.
	* 3 trivia question corrections.

3.2.2 01/01/02
	* Bundled Xmas_Xtra_MC (multiple choice holiday trivia) module.
	* Fixed bug introduced in version 3.2.1 in checking registration code.

3.2.1 11/16/01
	* Added "Set VFS Directory..." menu option. This brings you to a screen where you can tell Triv (and TrivFind) the specific directory in which you would like it to search for trivia modules on SD, MMC, and other external cards.

3.2.0 11/02/01
	* 3 new trivia modules: Ingenuity (genus, alphabetic), and Multiple_Guess_5 (genus, multiple choice), and Trillionaire_3 (genus, multiple choice).
	* Added efficient VFS support. Trivia modules can now reside on SD or other cards. Data is accessed only as needed (files are NOT copied into RAM). The Triv and TrivFind applications (Triv.prc and TrivFind.prc) can reside in RAM or on a card as before.
	* Fixed bug where deleting the module currently in use outside of Triv could cause a "No Data" error after returning to Triv.
	* Made timer more efficient by NOT using Palm alarms.
	* Fixed cosmetic glitch where the previous timer value would be briefly displayed after exiting Triv and returning.
	* Fixed timer bug where user could get additional time by exiting Triv when the "Out of Time" alert message was displayed.
	* Changed PalmOS file attributes on trivia modules so that modifications on the Palm (e.g. moving a module to flash memory and back) don't cause a soft reset after HotSync.
	* Added module name to Delete Module confirmation form.
	* Fixed bug on Triv Tac Toe Options form where switching between Points and Rounds would reset the Computer Level.
	* Fixed sound preference when set to System to obey use PalmOS Game Sound level instead of only whether sound is on or off.
	* Fixed buffer overflow problem if a question had a very long additional explanation (80 characters increased to 256).
	* Dozens of trivia questions corrected and duplicate questions removed.

3.1.0 02/26/01
	* Created TrivFind application. This Palm utility allows you to search the questions and answers for all installed Triv modules. Users who have not registered Triv are restricted to searching the first 36 questions of each module. TrivFind should only be used with Triv 3.1.0 or higher (the flag telling TrivFind to search a particular module can be reset by older versions of Triv).
	* 3 new trivia modules: All_Ball (sports, alphabetic), Alphabits (genus, alphabetic), and Multiple_Guess_4 (genus, multiple choice).
	* Enhanced "Beam All Modules" menu option. This now displays a dialog box before each module, allowing users to skip modules and allowing the receiving Palm device time to accept the previous module. Also added an alert message if PalmOS 2.0 users attempt to beam (since they can't).
	* Fixed strange bug on Triv Tac Toe Options screen where the "Okay" button would not work. Fixed somewhat related and equally obscure bug that could cause Trillionaire to crash during multiplayer mode with a timer.
	* Dozens of trivia questions corrected and duplicate questions removed.

3.0.0 12/15/00
	* Trillionaire game variant created (inspired by Who Wants To Be a Millionaire). Designed for multiple choice modules but works with alphabetic, numeric, and true/false questions as well.
	* 4 new multiple choice modules (Second_Guess[1-4].pdb), culled from existing alphabetic and numeric questions. 4 other multiple choice modules (Trillionaire[1-2].pdb) created from just difficulty level 1 questions.
	* Negative Scoring and Grid Bid ("Daily Double") options added to Triv Grid.
	* Fixed bug where the "120" second timer option only gave 90 seconds.
	* Removed extraneous menus from game options screens.

	* Standardized all options screens.
	* Added Help menu (moved Get Info and Module Info over, and added Game Help).
	* Added tracking of used questions for every module (by name) instead of just for the current module. Used marks can be deleted on the Module Info screen or on the Delete Module screen.
	* Added Rotate Pie checkbox option to Trivia Pizza Options screen. This allows the user to either allow the pizza pie on the left of the Trivia Pizza screen to rotate with the board or to remain fixed.

2.2.0 09/11/00
	* Brain_Food.pdb (Genus, alphabetic), Multiple_Guess_3.pdb (Genus, multiple choice), Peppered_Brie.pdb (Genus, alphabetic), Sports_1999.pdb (Sports, alphabetic) , and The_Entertainer_4.pdb (Entertainment, alphabetic) data modules created (500+ questions each). * Added ability to tap on current square to roll dice in Trivia Pizza.

	* Recompiled with CodeWarrior for PalmOS 6. A few minor fixes made to handle incompatibilities with the upgrade.
	* Fixed bug where a database was closed before all of the pointers to it were unlocked (did not cause crash except with OS 3.5 debug ROMs).

	* PilotGear is now called PalmGear.

2.0.0 06/08/99

	* Unregistered copies of Triv now have access to the first 30 questions in each module (instead of just in the first 4 modules).
	* Added "Change Score" option on the Answer screen to allow users to get credit for typos, misspellings, or other close answers.
	* Added ability to handle Multiple Choice, and True/False questions. * Made Answer field 2 pixels wider (large enough to fit "WASHINGTON").
	* Enhanced code and reorganized all data modules so that finding questions for Triv Grid and Trivia Pizza is more efficient and more random. Do NOT use old data modules with this version because Triv Grid will skip most questions.
